The darkest hour

There are practical ways to overcome and conquer that raging beast of
self-doubt, much the same way our heroes and heroines overcome their dark
moments-with a little faith and a lot of brute-force strength most of us don't
even realize we possess. We've all heard the adage: "the night is darkest just
before the dawn." This is most certainly true in the writing business. The
bottom line is this: Those writers who persevere are the ones who survive and,
later, realize success.
